Product Descriptions:

Silane is a colorless gas known for its reactive nature when exposed to air, which can lead to a choking hazard. Upon contact with air, silane ignites, producing a stark, white amorphous silica smoke. Its primary health risk stems from its spontaneous combustion, posing severe thermal dangers that can result in significant injuries or even be life-threatening. The intense heat generated before the cylinder valve can lead to explosive busts. Uncontrolled discharge pressure may also result in delayed explosions. Any leakage of non-spontaneously combusting silane is perilous and must remain unsealed. Personnel handling emergencies must be equipped with suitable protective gear tailored to the specific fire scenario. It is crucial not to attempt gas cutoff before extinguishing the fire.

Silane gas is a colorless, toxic, and flammable substance with a distinctive garlic-like odor that can be quite irritating.

Application
Silane and its functionalized counterparts boast a wide array of industrial and medical applications. Notably, silanes serve as coupling agents that adhere fibers, such as glass and carbon fibers, to specific polymer matrices, thereby enhancing the stability of composite materials. Silane coats these fibers to ensure superior adhesion to the polymer matrix. Additionally, silanes are employed to couple bio-inert layers on titanium implants and are integral to water repellent formulations, masonry protection, and graffiti control. They play a vital role in applying polycrystalline silicon layers on silicon wafers in semiconductor manufacturing. The late 1990s saw the semiconductor industry consume approximately 300 metric tons of silane annually. More recently, the surge in affordable solar photovoltaic module production has markedly increased silane consumption for hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) deposition on various substrates like glass, metal, and plastic. The PECVD process, however, is notably inefficient, with about 85% of silane being wasted. Efforts to diminish this waste and the ecological footprint of a-Si:H-based solar cells have led to the development of several recycling initiatives.

In the realm of supersonic combustion ramjets, silane plays a crucial role in igniting combustion within the compressed air stream. Its capability to burn utilizing carbon dioxide as an oxidizer renders it a promising fuel candidate for engines operating on Mars. However, since this reaction produces solid byproducts such as silicon dioxide and carbon, its applications are restricted to liquid-fuel rockets (using liquid carbon dioxide), ramjets, or other reaction engines.

FAQ
Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
