Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane, an intriguing colorless gas, reacts rapidly with air, potentially causing choking. Upon air contact, it ignites, producing a vivid white amorphous silica smoke. The main health risks are its spontaneous combustion, which can lead to severe thermal burns, and even be fatal. If ignited or exposed to high temperatures before the cylinder valve, the silane cylinder may explode. Rapid or excessive pressure release can also result in delayed explosions. Uncontained silane leaks, without spontaneous combustion, are perilous and must not be ignored. Personnel handling emergencies should be equipped with appropriate protective gear tailored to the fire hazards. Never attempt to cut off the gas supply before ensuring flames are extinguished.
Silane gas is a colorless, toxic, and highly flammable substance with a distinctly pungent garlic aroma.

Our high-quality SiH4 gas finds diverse applications in the electronics industry, notably in material fabrication and the burgeoning solar cell sector.
Application
Silane and its derivatives boast numerous industrial and medical applications. As a coupling agent, silane adheres fibers like glass and carbon to specific polymer matrices, enhancing composite material stability. Additionally, it coats glass fibers to improve polymer matrix adhesion. Silane also couples bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Its versatility extends to water repellents, masonry protection, graffiti control, and the application of polycrystalline silicon layers on silicon wafers in semiconductor manufacturing. In the late 1990s, the semiconductor industry consumed about 300 metric tons annually. The rise in economical solar photovoltaic module production has significantly increased silane's use in depositing hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) on glass and substrates like metal and plastic. The PECVD process, while less efficient in material utilization, wastes about 85% of silane, prompting innovative recycling efforts to reduce waste and ecological impact.
Silane also plays a role in supersonic combustion ramjets, initiating combustion in compressed air streams. Its ability to burn with carbon dioxide as an oxidizer makes it a potential fuel for Mars-bound engines. However, due to solid byproducts like silicon dioxide and carbon, it's best suited to liquid-fuel rockets (using liquid carbon dioxide), ramjets, or other reaction engines.

Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
