Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane, a colorless and reactive gas, poses hazardous risks upon exposure to air. When in contact with air, it combusts spontaneously, releasing a thick, white amorphous silica smoke. This combustion is a serious health risk: its intense flames can inflict severe, potentially fatal burns. Silane cylinders subjected to high temperatures or flames may explode, especially if the cylinder valve is exposed. Rapid or excessive discharge of silane can trigger explosive reactions. A leak without spontaneous combustion is perilous, demanding immediate attention. In emergencies, personnel should be equipped with appropriate protective gear tailored to fire hazards. Never attempt to shut off the gas supply before extinguishing the fire.
Silane gas is an intriguing, colorless substance characterized by its toxic and flammable nature, coupled with a distinctive and sharp garlic-like scent.

Application
Silane and its functionalized derivatives boast versatile applications across industrial and medical realms. They serve as coupling agents, enhancing adhesion between fibers like glass or carbon and polymer matrices, thus reinforcing composite materials. In the biomedical field, silanes facilitate the bonding of bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Their utility extends to water repellents, protection against masonry decay, graffiti control, and in semiconductor manufacturing, where they deposit polycrystalline silicon on silicon wafers. In the late 1990s, the semiconductor sector utilized around 300 metric tons of silane annually. However, the rise in cost-effective solar photovoltaic module production has markedly increased silane consumption for hydrogenated amorphous silicon deposition on substrates such as glass, metal, and plastic. The PECVD process, though material inefficient (with approximately 85% silane wastage), has prompted innovative recycling efforts to minimize environmental impacts and optimize the efficiency of a-Si:H-based solar cells.
Silane's unique properties make it an excellent choice for supersonic combustion ramjets, initiating combustion in compressed air streams. Its ability to burn with carbon dioxide as an oxidizer positions it as a promising fuel for Martian engines. Nevertheless, due to the solid byproducts like silicon dioxide and carbon, its use is confined to liquid-fuel rockets (with liquid carbon dioxide), ramjets, and other specialized propulsion systems.

Packaging & Shipping
Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
