Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane is a colorless gas known for its reactive nature with air, potentially resulting in a choking hazard. Upon contact with air, it combusts, emitting a pronounced white amorphous silica smoke. The gas poses significant health risks due to spontaneous combustion, capable of causing severe thermal burns and, if unchecked, can be fatal. If a flame or extreme heat impacts the cylinder before valve operation, an explosion is imminent. Rapid or high-pressure silane discharge can result in a delayed blast. In the absence of spontaneous combustion, silane leaks remain perilous and must not be disregarded. Personnel handling emergencies must be equipped with appropriate protective gear tailored to fire protection. Ensuring the extinguishment of flames is paramount before gas supply cessation.
This silane gas is colorless, toxic, and flammable, possessing a distinctive garlic aroma that can be bothersome.

Our high-purity SiH4 gas is meticulously crafted for the electronics industry, supporting a diverse array of material production applications, with widespread use in solar cell manufacturing and beyond.
Application
Silane and its derivatives boast a multitude of industrial and medical applications. They serve as exceptional coupling agents, enhancing the adhesion of fibers, such as glass and carbon, to specific polymer matrices, thereby stabilizing composite materials. By coating glass fibers, silanes improve adhesion to polymers. Moreover, they facilitate the coupling of bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Other notable uses encompass water repellents, masonry protection, graffiti control, and the application of polycrystalline silicon layers on silicon wafers in semiconductor production. The 1990s saw an annual use of approximately 300 metric tons of silane in the semiconductor sector. Recent growth in affordable solar photovoltaic module production has significantly increased silane consumption for depositing hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) onto glass and various substrates like metal and plastic. Given the PECVD process's material inefficiency, with around 85% silane waste, recycling initiatives have emerged to mitigate waste and lessen the ecological impact of a-Si:H solar cells.
Silane finds application in supersonic combustion ramjets, acting as an initiator for combustion in compressed air streams. Capable of burning with carbon dioxide as an oxidizer, it is a promising fuel candidate for Mars-based engines. However, due to byproducts like silicon dioxide and carbon, its use is limited to liquid-fuel rockets (utilizing liquid carbon dioxide), ramjets, or similar reaction engines.

Packaging & Shipping

Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
