Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane is a colorless and highly reactive gas that poses serious safety risks. Upon exposure to air, it combusts spontaneously, producing intense white amorphous silica smoke. The chief danger lies in the potential for severe thermal burns, which can be lethal. If a silane cylinder is exposed to flames or high temperatures, it may explode, especially if the discharge pressure is excessive. Leaks of silane without combustion are incredibly hazardous and should not be disregarded. Personnel managing emergencies must be adequately equipped with appropriate protective gear suited to the specific fire hazards. Never attempt to cut off the gas supply before the fire is extinguished.
Silane gas is a colorless, toxic, and flammable substance with a distinctive garlic-like odor that can be irritating.

Our premium SiH4 gas is pivotal in the electronics industry, offering exceptional versatility. It plays a critical role in the manufacture of various materials and is extensively utilized in the production of solar cells, among other applications.
Application
Silane and its modified variants serve numerous industrial and medical roles. They act as coupling agents, facilitating the adherence of fibers like glass and carbon to polymer matrices, thereby stabilizing composite materials. Additionally, silane can coat glass fibers for improved polymer adhesion and create bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Its applications extend to water repellents, masonry protection, graffiti management, and as a key component in semiconductor manufacturing, where it deposits polycrystalline silicon layers on wafers. In the late 1990s, the semiconductor industry consumed around 300 metric tons of silane annually, with recent growth in solar photovoltaic module production driving substantial silane use for hydrogenated amorphous silicon application. Despite the inefficiency of the PECVD process, which wastes roughly 85% of silane, innovative recycling initiatives are underway to mitigate waste and enhance the environmental friendliness of a-Si:H-based solar cells.
Silane is utilized in supersonic combustion ramjets for ignition in compressed airflows. Its ability to combust with carbon dioxide as an oxidizer makes it a potential fuel for Mars-based engines. Due to the solid byproducts of its reaction, silane is suitable for liquid-fuel rockets, ramjets, or other reaction engines that can use liquid carbon dioxide.

Packaging & Shipping
Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
