Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane, a colorless gas, reacts with air to form a choking hazard due to its high reactivity. In contact with air, it ignites, producing a dense, white, and amorphous silica smoke. The health dangers are significant: spontaneous combustion can lead to severe thermal burns, potentially fatal. High temperatures or flames near the silane cylinder can cause it to explode, especially if the cylinder valve is exposed to heat. Rapid or excessive pressure release can trigger a delayed explosion. If silane leaks without igniting, it poses severe risks and cannot be ignored. Personnel managing emergencies must wear suitable protective gear tailored for fire safety conditions. Never attempt to shut off the gas supply before putting out the fire.
Silane gas is a colorless, toxic, and flammable substance that emits a pungent garlic-like odor, which can be quite irritating.

Application
Silane and its functional derivatives find numerous industrial and medical applications. They act as coupling agents, enhancing the adhesion of glass and carbon fibers to polymer matrices, thus stabilizing composites. Silanes coat fibers to improve polymer matrix adhesion. They also couple bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Other uses include water repellents, masonry protection, graffiti resistance, polycrystalline silicon layer application on silicon wafers in semiconductor manufacturing, and sealants. In the 1990s, semiconductors consumed around 300 metric tons of silane annually. The rise of low-cost solar photovoltaic module manufacturing increased silane demand for depositing hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) on various substrates. The PECVD process is inefficient, wasting about 85% of silane. Efforts to recycle and reduce a-Si:H-based solar cell waste are underway, minimizing their ecological impact.
Silane is utilized in supersonic combustion ramjets to ignite combustion in compressed air streams. It can burn using carbon dioxide as an oxidizer, making it a potential fuel for Mars-based engines. Due to solid byproducts like silicon dioxide and carbon, its application is limited to liquid-fuel rockets (with liquid carbon dioxide), ramjets, or other reaction engines.

Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
