Product Description
Product Descriptions:
Silane is a colorless gas that reacts with air, producing a choking effect. Upon contact with air, it ignites, releasing an intense white amorphous silica smoke. This poses significant health risks, as its spontaneous combustion can result in severe thermal burns, potentially becoming fatal. If a flame or high temperature reaches any part of the silane cylinder before the valve, an explosion is likely. High or rapid discharge pressure can lead to delayed explosions. Leaks without spontaneous ignition are highly dangerous and should remain unobstructed. Personnel managing emergencies must wear suitable protective equipment tailored to the fire protection situation. Do not attempt to cut off the gas supply before fully extinguishing the fire.
Silane gas is a colorless, toxic, and flammable substance with an irritating garlic-like odor.

Our premium-grade SiH4 gas is integral to the electronics industry, used in fabricating various materials and extensively applied in solar cell production.
Application
Silane and its functionalized derivatives boast a myriad of industrial and medical applications. They serve as coupling agents, bonding fibers such as glass and carbon to specific polymer matrices, enhancing the stability of composite materials. Silane coats glass fibers, improving adhesion to polymer matrices. It is also used to couple bio-inert layers on titanium implants. Additional applications include water repellents, masonry protection, graffiti control, and as a medium for polycrystalline silicon layer deposition on silicon wafers in semiconductor manufacturing. In the late 1990s, the semiconductor industry consumed around 300 metric tons of silane annually. The recent surge in low-cost solar photovoltaic module production has significantly increased silane usage for hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) deposition on glass and other substrates such as metal and plastic. The PECVD process is known for low material utilization efficiency, with about 85% of silane going to waste. Consequently, recycling efforts have been undertaken to curtail waste and minimize the ecological impact of a-Si:H-based solar cells.
Silane finds applications in supersonic combustion ramjets, where it facilitates ignition in compressed air streams. Its ability to combust using carbon dioxide as an oxidizer makes it a viable fuel option for engines operating on Mars. However, due to its solid byproducts (silicon dioxide and carbon), its use is restricted to liquid-fuel rockets (using liquid CO2), ramjets, or other reaction engines.

Packaging & Shipping

Q: What's your product price?
A: Pricing for each gas is influenced by market supply and demand, quantity, and purity, making it difficult to set a fixed price. If you are interested in any specific gas, please provide your detailed requirements, and I would be happy to offer you a tailored quote.
Q: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: Minimum order quantities vary across different products. Please share your specific requirements with us, and we will provide the relevant details.
Q: What is the delivery time?
A: If the cylinder is in stock and only requires gas filling, delivery is approximately 7-10 days ex-works after receiving the deposit. Custom cylinder orders require about 15-35 days ex-works post-deposit, depending on the quantity.
Q: How do you ensure gas quality?
A: Our cylinders undergo a thorough treatment process, including cleaning, drying, vacuum pumping, and replacement before gas filling to ensure they are clear and dry. Each treated cylinder is tested for internal purity. After filling, all gases are tested once more. If the gas fails to meet standards, it is reprocessed. Finally, we provide a qualified gas test report.
Q: Are all cylinders recyclable?
A: Typically, seamless steel cylinders are recyclable. However, disposable cylinders are intended for single use only.
Q: Can we send back cylinders to China for refilling?
A: Yes, you can send back our cylinders for refilling. Inform us before exporting, and we will manage all necessary import customs clearance formalities.
